How will the lightning presentations work?

Each morning there will be two parallel sessions of 10 minute lightning presentations. We are strongly encouraging collaborative presentations (between 2 or more different organisations/individuals) to make things more interesting and dynamic! We have very limited space, so you may wish to consider setting up a demo/stall in the streetmarket! To propose a presentation, please go here:

What is the streetmarket?

We’re planning to have a “streetmarket” where people with current projects can showcase their work. This will give “vendors” the opportunity to find potential contributors or partners for their projects, to reach new audiences, to find potential funders and so on. “Shoppers” will have the chance to see interesting new projects and meet the people behind them. If you’d like to showcase in the streetmarket, please add your project to the list here:

What are the work sessions?

There will be 3 main streams of work sessions of 90 minutes each, for people to talk about key issues and work on different things. You can add your name/any ideas to the following session pads:

If you would like to propose another session, please add your ideas here!

What is the hackspace?

There will also be a dedicated ‘hackspace’ in the Upper Hall running for the duration of the event for developers to hack on various projects. If you’d like to hack on something, please add details here:

What are the soapbox videos?

We’ll be shooting and collecting as many 1 minute ‘soapbox’ videos as we can, which we’ll be scrolling throughout the camp on a large screen in the streetmarket area. This is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to publicise their work – we’ll also be using the videos on the website, and to provide material for a longer film. There will be a video booth at the camp where you can record your presentation, which will then be edited in situ ready for projection. Alternatively, please feel free to send us a link for your videos to or to the open-government list.

Is there a mailing list for planning discussions?

We will discuss planning for the event on the open-government list:
